Supports of the Australian government - Casino at Great Keppel Island
The city of Queensland is about to host a new casino facility in the coming months if the State legislators adopt the proposal. On Tuesday, residents of Queensland downtown traveled to Brisbane to support the casino proposal at Great Keppel Island with the banner “Our Keppel Our Future”. Tower Holdings is one of the operators who requested last year a casino license. A member of the group “Our Keppel Our Future” announced that the proposal from the operator for a casino on the island is supported by the community. This project will create new jobs in the region and will reduce significantly unemployment. The project launch will effectively create temporary job for the construction of the facility and permanent jobs for its operation.
The Sydney-based company said its redevelopment project for $ 2 billion of Keppel Island Resort Yeppoon is a completely different project. Both projects of Tower Holdings in this coastal city of Queensland's have already been approved, but the licensing is important to attract international investors. The construction of the facility will begin six months after the obtaining of the gaming license granted by the government. However, a license may be granted if one of the two regions approved by Newman government to host a casino is not agreed by the Minister of Development of the State, Anthony Lynham. However, the government supports the redevelopment of Great Keppel Island and encourages Holdings Tower in initiating the project, adds Lynham.
