More entertainment to attract customers - Montreal Casino
With the rise of online casino games, land based casinos face an awkward postures. In Canada for example, the Société des casinos du Québec can no longer attract visitors. The profits of the company fell by 40% over the past five years. This situation prompted Quebec casinos to innovate. The fall of profits has led to debates about a possible privatization of casinos, an option that was discarded by Quebec Prime Premier, Philippe Couillard. The State company bet on the formula that made a splash in Las Vegas, namely the introduction of entertainment activities to attract more public. The Director of Communications at Loto-Québec, Jean-Pierre Roy, said that adjustments are needed to increase revenues and profitability, in short to revitalize casinos in Quebec.
Thus, the Casino of Montreal has spent $ 22 million in the renovation of the theater. The latter has 600 seats and will attract 150,000 spectators in its first year as estimated by officials of the establishment. A restaurant of the famous chef, Joel Robuchon and evenings events with sports betting are also on the program. The establishment also wants to attract more young people in creating a new specially dedicated area called "The Zone". The Casino of Montreal wants a different offer for young people through this space that focuses on play and socialization.
