To heat up Evansville-Indiana this weekend - Mid-States Poker Tour-Season VI
The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Season 6 is currently in full swing in Evansville, Indiana (USA). The stop has already run a series of qualifiers over the last couple of days, and will wrap everything up with the Indiana State Poker Championship Main Event starting this Friday, August 21. Buy-inable for $ 1,100, the event boasts a $ 250,000 prize pool guarantee, and features two starting days for 14 levels of play each. Day 1 A begins this Friday from 16h while Day 1B will be played on Saturday. Survivors from the starting day flights would return to the poker room of Tropicana Evansville on Sunday for the ultimate round. It is worth highlighting that Propicana Envansville is the biggest gaming facility in the area. Mike Miller, the facility's No.1 official in charge of Table Games activities, said Tropicana regulars are looking forward to part taking in this famous poker tournament. Thus, the Indiana State Poker Championship will expectedly be a smashing success.
According to MSPT owner, Bryan Mileski, last year's $ 100,000 prize-pool guarantee MSPT Evansville was a great success. It attracted a gigantic field of 225 players. Kentucky native "Charlie Dawson" was the last man standing; he beat Alex Yen in the final showdown to cash the 1st-place prize of $ 60,527. Since the guaranteed prize pool is scaled up this year, the attendance rate could logically increase, ditto for the prize figure to be awarded to the successor of Charlie Dawson.
