Joanne Liu is now ranked No.1 among her female counterparts - GPI

Taiwan-born, Las Vegas-raised female poker pro Joanne Liu is currently sitting on top of the Global Poker Index (GPI) Female Leaderboard. The poker lady is now ranked 255th in the GPI Top 300 live tournament players, and 414th position in the Player of the Year race. Admittedly, she has been performing so well since the beginning of this year; Liu has made the money in 14 events. Her biggest cash of the year is amounted to $ 56,790. She earned it by finishing runner-up in the $ 2,140 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em 7-Handed event at the Commerce Casino (Los Angeles). A 10th-place finish in the World Poker Tour Rolling Thunder Main Event is also part of the big achievements Liu has made so far.

Although she has never won a gold bracelet, Liu has delivered a pretty modest performance in the World Series of Poker. This summer, the Taiwan-born female poker pro scooped nearly $ 6,000 of prize by finishing ITM places in two No-Limit Hold'em tournaments. To date, he has managed to cash a total amount of $ 408,025 from the Series. Liu’s biggest payday was a whopping $ 600,000. She sealed the six-digit prize by securing 2nd-place in the WPT Bay 101 $ 10,000 buy-in No Limit Hold'em Championship poker tournament in 2007. Her live poker tournament career cashes now amount to $ 2,906,650. May we remind you that Joanne “JJ” Liu is currently ranked 55th in the Nevada All Time Money List and 202nd in the nation-wide one.
