Craig Varnell won $ 330,000 for his victory - WPT500 Aria
This summer, Las Vegas has once again met thousands of poker players decided to try their luck at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Some of them took advantage of their stay in the city of light to take part in the second edition of the WPT500, a poker tournament branded World Poker Tour (WPT) which was held in the Aria Resort & Casino. The event granted 614 players because it registered a huge field of 5,113 participants thanks to its several starting days. The biggest share of the prize pool, a sum of $ 330,000 was awarded to Craig Varnell. The winner of the final duel, the American player ousted the Brazilian Lucio Antunes. Their confrontation was quick but rich in action. Note that this is the second feat of Varnell this summer. He just won a fantastic prize pool for having finished in third place in an online poker tournament.
Alexander Lakhov who won the bronze spot during the last third edition, Nick Binger, Chad Roudebush, Hunter Cichy, Bretty Mueller, Brent Berger and Milan Harper are among the finalists of the event and they rank respectively 3rd, 4th, 5th , 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th. Note that the WPT 500 will stop in England towards the end of October. This time, the competition will be held at the prestigious Clun Dusk Till Dawn. But before this meeting, the World Poker Tour (WPT) invites poker enthusiasts to attend the WPT Choctaw to be held in Durant in Oklahoma on July 31.
