Maria Ho appointed as host - 2015 Chad Brown Memorial Poker Tournament
On July 2, it will be exactly a year to the day when Chad Brown passed away at the age of 52 after a tough battle with sarcoma. To pay tribute to this great poker pro, friends and all poker players regardless of their origin, are invited to part take in the 2nd annual Chad Brown Memorial Charity Tournament. Cashes generated by the event will be used to fund the TJ Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer & AIDS Research, a medical organization that develops cures for cancer. This year, the organizers chose one of the most successful female poker pros, Maria Ho, to host the event. She replaces Chads widowVanessa Rousso as its host. Vanessa will appear in the TV show Big Brother soon.
The Chad Brown Memorial Charity Tournament will take place at the Plant Hollywood Resort & Casino (Las Vegas) on July 2. The entry-fee is set to $ 240 with $ 100 rebuys and add-ons. The poker tournament will kick off at 19h with a cocktail reception and silent auction. Of course, the lucky ones wont leave the room empty-handed. Actually, a number of enticing prizes are to be won. Include the likes of seats to the 2015 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, PPC Poker Tour Main Event entry at Tampa Bay Downs in Florida, a pass to the WPT 500 at Aria (July 3 to 5), as well as a VIP experience package to the World Poker Tour (WPT) Five Diamond Poker Classic. Interestingly, the package includes a VIP access to the televised final table, a guided tour of the WPT set and chance to meet WPT cast Lynn Gilmartin and Mike Sexton.
