Phil Hellmuth just improved his record with a 14th Bracelet - WSOP 2015
His multiple attempts finally paid off! It is about the Poker Brat who has just won his 14th bracelet in the Event # 17 of the 2015 World Series of Poker (WSOP), the $ 10,000 buy-in Razz Championship. Extremely talented, Phil Hellmuth aka Poker Brat captured the win for $ 271,105 and a gold bracelet. Indeed, he successfully proved to the whole poker community that he is still an iconic figure among the industrys big names. So far, no other poker player has made such record-breaking achievement as Poker Brat. Seemingly, only Phil Ivey could beat him in that race. Recall that Ivey has the same number of championship bracelets as legendary poker pros Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan. It is also worth highlighting that Hellmuth clinched his first 11 bracelets in NLHE poker tournaments. And this Event #17 win is the 2nd Razz event win he has ever claimed.
At the same time when Poker Brat celebrated his victory, the British poker pro John Dale also made a stunning performance by winning his 2nd WSOP bracelet. He actually emerged victorious in the Event # 18, the $ 1,000 buy-in NLHE Turbo. With this new feat, the 61 years-old British man now totals over $ 1 million in career earnings. The festival is still ongoing with the Event # 19, the $ 3,000 Limit Hold'em 6-max. The Boucherville native Jonathan Duhamel was among the contenders in this battle. Against his will, he fell to 136th place. USAs Keven Stammen actually leads the 29 survivors in chip count.
