Robert Mizrachi wins the $ 1,500 buy-in Event # 3 - World Series of Poker 2015
The poker room of the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino has been abuzz since Wednesday May 27 with the action-packed 46th annual World Series of Poker festival. Three golden bracelets have been distributed so far. As a reminder, Brandon Barnette emerged victorious in the kickoff event ($ 565 buy-in Casino Employees No Limit HoldEm). As for the $ 5,000 buy-in NLHE Event # 2, it was Michael Wang who claimed the top prize. By topping a field of 915 entrants in the 2015 WSOP Event #3, Robert Mizrachi came out victorious of the poker tournament and brought home the third bracelet. For his $ 1,500 buy-in Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better win, Robert Mizrachi was awarded $ 251,022, an additional six-digit cash that saw his career earnings culminating at $ 5.2 million. This feat actually strengthens the supremacy of the Mizrachi family in live poker races. With this freshly-acquired title, Robert Mizrachi added another highlight to the Mizrachi brothers records with that of Michael "The Grinder", Eric and Donnie.
Only 61 hands were played and Robert Mizrachi knocked his heads-up rival out. He won the $ 251,022 top payday over runner-up Jacob Dahl who, for his part, had to console himself with $ 155,333 of prize. Thomas Taylor was the first final-tablist who hit the rail. He was given $ 17,883. The elimination mill kept rolling with Bruce Levitt falling to 8th place ($ 22,889), Nguyen Tran 7th ($ 29,693), James Juvancic 6th ($ 39,037), Dominick Cuzzi 5th ($ 52,075) and Ryan Himes 4th ($ 70,540). That of Don Zewin to the 3rd-place ($ 97,185) somewhat paved Robert and Jacobs way to the ultimate showdown. Also spotted in attendance, supporting his dear son was Susan Laufer Mizrachi.
