San Chen sealed the Warm-Up events win - APPT Macau 2015
The Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau (APPT Macau) has recently kicked off, and its inaugural event has been a smashing success. Accessible for HK $ 5,000 of entry-fee, the HK$ 1 million Guaranteed Warm-Up event lured a massive field of 334 participants into attraction. It was San Chen, a talented China-based poker player, who won the battle. San Chen actually beat Benjamin Wong in the final showdown to claim the top prize. Following a two-way deal, Chen was awarded HK $ 322,653 for his victory. It is worth mentioning that a number of high-profile APPT regulars built up the field in the Warm-Up event, the presence of whom toughed the title race for San Chen. 41 players would make the money in this event.
UKs Ben Wilson failed to reach the final table but finished in the money for HK $ 34,230. Angel Wong, a Hong Kong native, followed him thereafter. Chinas Pete Chen, Malaysias Wai Wong Yew, Singapore's Alex Lee and Chinas Liang Yu would fall in succession afterwards. As for South-Koreas Jinwi Kim, he has come a long way to battle it out in the final table. Against his will, his run was cut to 3rd-place. He cashed HK $ 134,860 though. 8 other action-packed poker tournaments will still fuel this 2015 APPT Macau festival up. The HK $ 25,000 buy-in Main Event is part of them, running its first-day flight this Wednesday, May 27 from 14 p.m.
