Trimph of the Katkuoy brothers - North Bay Poker Open Ante Up Poker Tour
The 101 Casino in Petaluma, in California, has just concluded its landmark live poker tournament, the Ante Up Poker Tour. This $ 400 buy-in North Bay Poker Open Main Event has guaranteed a prize pool of $ 40,000. Among the 142 players on the starting line-up, it wasTona Katkuoy who emerged victorious of the event by outstripping his brother in the heads-up. Unexpectedly, it was a real surprise that the heads-up of the North Bay Poker Open-Ante Up Poker Tour Main Event turned into a brother battle. For his victory, Tona Katkuoy cashed $ 12,160 of prize along with a champions bracelet, a personalized tour champions jacket, and a spot on the cover of Ante Up Magazine (June issue). His brother Tony would be awarded $ 8,500 for his runner-up place.
Tona Katkuoy actually wrapped Day 1A up on top of the chip count. He successfully retained his lead over his brother and the other 18 survivors who made it through the ultimate day. Fortunately, all the 20 players would make the money; the 20th place finisher was awarded $ 420, the minimum ITM payday. TheTop 10 finishers in this poker event include 3rd-place Aaron Reiff ($ 4,999), followed by Joseph Mussat (4th, $ 4,725), Jason Patterson (5th, $ 3,544), Dennis Markusen (6th, $ 2,599 ), Andrew Howard (7th, $ 1,772), Allan Kwong (8th, $ 1,417), Druce Gammen (9th, $ 1,063) and Brian Halloran (10th, $ 827).
