Isabel Baltazar secured the Women's Event win - 2015 EPT Grand Final
A number of France-based female poker players wowed their peers last Saturday and Sunday nights in the Grand Ginal of the European Poker Tour Monaco (EPT). While the Women's Event title was won by Mrs Isabel Baltazar, the Top 3 saw Jessica Drissi in the podiums buttom place. A couple of weeks prior to this outstanding performance, the French lady had made a name of herself in the High Roller poker tournament at the World Poker Tour National Brussels. 65 women part took in this 220 buy-in event, only 9 of the pack would battle it out for the final table. It was approximately at 3 a.m that the field got trimmed to a winner.
Switzerlands Silvana Erb was the first final-tablist to find her own run cut. She gained 360. Then Norways Karin Bruteig would join the bench at 8th place for 480. The two Russian final-tablists Anastasiia Egorova and Lyudmila Burova fell respectively to 7th ( 620) and 6th place (780 ). As for Celine Gallarotti, she finished 5th for 1,010, Diana Ardeleanu 4th ( 1,300) and Jessica Drissi secured 3rd-place for 1,720. The final showdown saw Isabel Baltazar and UKs Charlotte Godwin contending for the title. The face-to-face battle lasted almost 90 minutes, at the end of which Baltazar claimed the win for 3,690. Unbeatable, Frances Baltazar successfully retained the lead from the buttom to the top. Runner-up of the women-only poker event, Mrs Charlotte Godwin would console herself with 2,650 of prize.
