The Main Events D-day tomorrow! - CPPT St. Maarten 2015
The Season III of the Card Player Poker Tour (CPPT) is visiting the Caribbean this week. Given its incredible tourism potential and its sea-side resorts, St-Maarten has been listed on the series schedule to host the 5th stop of the tour. Recall that the previous stop was held at Foxwoods and was won by Fred Paradis for $ 81,520, the third stop at Wynn (Maxim Sorokin, $ 101,619), the second at Atlantis (Nick Weinberg, $ 38,625), while Chan Pelton played host to the first with Choctaw winning the top prize of $ 130,455. The festival has been underway since April 24 running poker tournaments ranging from $ 125 to $ 550 of buy-in. The 2015 CPPT St.Maarten actually includes two variants of poker, namely the No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha. Those who crave No-Limit Hold'em are given greater satisfaction with multiple formula, including Survivor, Bounty and All In or Fold as well.
Apart from side events, players are invited to part take in the highlight of the race, the CPPT St-Maarten Main Event. Scheduled to kick off this Thursday April 30, the $ 1,650 buy-in Main Event is expected to attract a gigantic player-field with its $ 200,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool. Featuring two starting flights, this four-days battle will serve participant with a starting stack of 20,000 chips. By paying an extra fee of $ 40, every player can thicken their stack with additional10,000 chips. Each starting day will be played in 10 levels of 50 minute-play with the late registration allowed until the end of level 8. The schedule also includes $ 370 buy-in qualifying events until Day 1B.
