Poker pro Dave Devilfish Ulliott is dead - UK
Following a brief yet tough battle with colon cancer, United Kingdoms professional poker player Dave Devilsish Ulliott died at the age of 61 on Monday, April 6. May we remind you that Devilfish is one of the most famed poker icons in the UK poker industry in the early 2000s. He devoted more than 20 years in playing live poker tournaments during which he has successfully made a name of himself. His appaling record includes more than $ 6 million of career cashes for 36 victories. In 1997, Dave Ulliott won a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. The year 2007 was also fruitful for Dave as he finished 3rd place at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic, in Las Vegas.
After some years of absence, Dave Ulliott made a confident and aggressive come-back in 2013. He claimed several titles in the European Poker Tour (EPT) festival, including that in the London leg of the series. A couple of months later, Ulliott made an impressive leap into the 2013 WSOP High Roller event as part of the finalists. Admittedly, the worlds poker community is now deprived of one of its biggest icons. Dave would sadly put an end to his career 2,323rd on the current GPI World Poker rankings. Numerous are the industrys big names paying tribute to him on Twitter. Doyle Brunson is one of them. This legandary poker player tweeted that it would be of great sense to automatically induct Devilfish in the Poker Hall of Fame.
