Trump Taj Mahal will remain Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic City
Trump Taj Mahal casino has been generating a shady buzz in Atlantic City following its bankruptcy. Its poker room was shut down about a month ago. Taj poker room is one of the most frequented gambling venue in New Jersey, and is the second largest poker room in Atlantic City. According to reliable sources, it will be given a makeover soon for a scheduled reopening this summer. Oddly enough, the name under which the said poker room had been a source of concern since Donald Trump no longer wanted to have his name associated with this gambling facility. Anyway, Donald Trump has reportedly said yes to retain the current name of the establishment.
Trump Taj Mahal is actually named after its owner Donald Trump and bears the same appelation since its creation in 1990. Despite the fact that he still owns 10 % of the Resortsstakes, Donald Trump highlighted that he no longer wanted his name displayed on this now-bankrupted casino. After a couple of months of negociation, Trump finally agreed to let the facility operate under his name. Billionaire Carl Ichan was the key person who managed to convince Trump to retain the name of this renowned New Jersey-based casino. Obvious as it is, a deal was reached between Carl Icahn and Donald Trump though no related details are released yet. Recall that Kevin Gross, a judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court, gave the go-ahead for the reopening of Trump Taj Mahal under Carl Icahns leadership, as part of a restructuring plan approved last Thursday.
