Oscar Alache claimed his second LAPT title - Latin American Poker Tour Chile
(LAPT) . Held in the poker room of Enjoy Viña del Mar Casino, the battle recorded 410 entries with Chiles Oscar Alache topping the whole pack for a title repeat. This is actually the second LAPT Main Event win of Alache. He now breaks into the LAPTs history as the first two-time title grabber. As a reminder, he emerged victorious of the LAPT Peru Main Event in October 2014. Super talented as he is, Oscar Alache had also illuminated few days earlier as the 1st-place finisher in the PLO side event and LAPT 8Chile as well. Indeed, this poker tournament was marked by the massive presence of local poker players, 5 of whom cruised themselves into the final table: Rodrigo Quezada, Fabian Chauriye, Oscar Alache, Justo Esquivel and Rodrigo Oliver. Completing the final table were Brazilian female poker player Renata Teixeira and two Argentineans (Nacho Barbero, Javier Venegas).
Oscar Alache entered the ultimate battle second in chip count, behind Fabian Chauriye. He gradually amassed a great amount of chips to secure the lead. Rodgrio Oliver found himself out of the track after playing three hands (8th, $ 21,340). Rodrigo Quezada (7th, $ 29,480), Fabian Chauriye (5th, $ 39,620) and Justo Esquivel (5th, $ 51,460) were the next players to head to exit. Then the four remaining players would agree on a deal. Nacho Barbero, despite his impressive achievement (7th Main Event final table) fell to 4th place for $ 100,073 while his fellow Javier Venegas cashed $ 86,505 for his 3rd-place finish. Oscar Alache met Brazils Teixeira in the heads-up and eventually beat the lady for $ 131,962 of prize. As for Renata Teixeira (runner-up), she was awarded $ 113,460 as a consolation prize.
