The first championship ring in this festival has just been awarded. And there are still 7 remaining rings to be distributed until March 15. The poker room of Casino Es Saadi de Marrakesh actually saw 156 players participating in this kick-off event. Its about the 270 buy-in NLH with Yassine Lalhou grabbing the top prize home. This time, all luck smiled at Yassine as he also won his first WSOP ring after 19 hours of play over two-day battle. He went home with 105,006 Dirhams. As the runner-up of the NLH event, Brahim Hassani was awarded 70,000 Dirhams. Brahim Oubella completed the podium for 50,000 Dirhams of prize.
This Tuesday from 3 p.m, the WSOP Marrakesh is running its Deepstack poker tournament, the entry-fee to which is set to 540. As for the Main Event battle, participants will have to pay 1,350 of buy-in. Of course, this WSOP Marrakesh Main Event is the most anticipated event in this festival. Anyway, other events are expected lure many players into attraction. Among them are the 540 Warm Up, the 540 Super Six, and the 1,800 High Roller. It is still worth noting that the first-place finishers in these events will be awarded golden championship rings plus the top payday.
