Peter Tran secures the lead to Day 4 - WPT LA Poker Classic 2015
Tough though the battle might be, Peter Tran entered Day 4 atop the chip count and wrapped the day by securing the drivers seat. With an impressive stack of 4,120,000 chips, he is leading the remaining 12 players to Day 5. Tran will enter the next battle of the World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic with confidence and a stunning chip advantage over his nearest rival, Mike Leah, who amassed 2,240,000 in chips when Day 4 ended. Although Peter Tran has all to reach the final table, he will have to stand ahead against high-profile live poker gurus, namely Chris Klodnicki, Ray Henson, Ken Aldridge and Anthony Zinno. The latter is entering Day 5 as a shortstack; despite all this, LAPC defending champion Zinno is expected to successfully reach the final of six and eventually grab his second LAPC title. Needless to say, with his 7th cash of the Season XIII, Anthony Zinno is a potential winner of the WPT Player Of the Year award this year.
Trailing behind Peter Tran and Mike Leah are Peter Neff (3rd/ 1,682,000 chips), Edward Ochana (4th, 1,401,000), Igor Yaroshevskyy (5th, 1,215,000), Vladimir Dobrovolskiy (6th, 1,185,000), Chris Klodnicki (7th, 1,054,000), Ray Henson (8th, 759,000), Tim Cramer (9th, 621,000), Anthony Zinno (10th, 565,000), Ken Aldridge (11th, 543,000) and Vadim Baranovsky (12th, 451,000). Day 4 was the end of the road for the 2012 WPT Player of the Year Joe Serock (33th), and the other former champions of this poker tournament, including Scott Seiver (32nd), Shawn Buchanan (25th), Eddy Sabat (21st) and Greg Mueller (19th).
