Olivier Decamps claimed the title - WiPT 2015
Olivier Decamps wrapped the 2015 edition of the Winamax Poker Tour (WiPT) up by topping a massive field of 1,306 players to claim the top prize. The WiPT Grand Final was run yesterday after six days of battle at Cercle-Clinchy Montemartre. Discreet, yet experienced live poker player, the carrier achievement of Olivier Decamps includes some cashes at the World Series of Poker Main Event (WSOP). Anyway, it took 13 hours of play for the winner to emerge from the final-of-nine. Arnaud Schnorfeil was the first player to leave the final table after exchanging some hands for nearly an hour. He earned 14,500. 25 minutes later, Etienne Ben Said was sent to the rail (8th place) for 17,000. The remaining seven players had battled it out for three hours before David Pecheur headed to exit (7th place) for 20,000.
Stéphane Nadot was the first player to join the bench after the dinner-break. His 6th-place finish allowed him to pocket 24,000 of prize though. As for Jerome Hananel, he finished 5th place for 30,000. He headed to the door followed byWael Razouk (4th, 37,000). El Mostafa Ederoua found his own run cut after 8 hours of final-table. He cashed 50,000. Then Olivier D would emerge victorious of the WiPT poker tournament by crushing Shakil Gill in the heads-up. Both men actually agreed on a deal that saw Olivier Decamps stepping out of Cercle Clichy Montmartre with 91,500, and runner-up Shakil Gill consoled himself with 76,500. The new season of the WiPT will kick off in November with the traditional kick-off event held at Grande Halle De La Villette (Paris) from November 7 to 8, 2015.
