Day 2 battle concluded with 17 remaining players - Campeonato de España de Poker
Barcelona has been vibrating under the rhythm of the national poker championship Campeonato de España de Poker 2015 (CEP) since February 18. This is actually the first stop of the CEP Season X; its two starting days seduce 457 participants, all paying the 660 of entry-fee. Of the 457-player field, 143 made it through Day 2. And the field gradually trimmed to 17 when Day 2 ended. After 10 levels of play, Pedro "ThinPoker" Lamarca would bag the chip lead with 2,636,000 in chips. This highly skilled Spanish poker player is well placed to grab his very first poker tournament title after falling to second place in the Española de San Póker Sebastiánv (Asier Crespo won the event).
The Day 2 of the CEP Barcelona 2015 was played at a breathtaking pace; 50 players were sent to the rail after two levels of play. Include the likes of Pichi Alonso, Gerardo Conde, Fuensanta Castelló, Arne Michaelis, Sahil Gadimbayli, Jean Regail, Miguel Sagues Serrat, Andrés Muñoz, Gregoria Herranz, Alexis Fochs and Faustino Mora. Daniel Petersen wrapped the day up grabbing the largest stack . He is heading to the next battle with 2,403,000 in chips. Second in chip count is Nayef Ghali (1,288,000), followed by Mikolaj Zawadzki (1,235,000). A panel of players also conclude the day with a rather comfortable stack of over 700,000 chips: Jordi Martínez (855,000), Carlos Egea (840,000), Daniel Fernández (787,000), Iván Marcos (704,000) and Abel Durban (699,000). As for Carlos García (642,000), José Antonio Sánchez (541,000), David Xarau (455,000), Marcos Patón (406,000), Laura Gallardo (392,000), Cayetano García (330,000), David Quintana (319,000) and Dirk Graells (24,.000), they complete the list of 17 in-the-race players to Day 3.
