Charles Maxcy hit the top prize - Hollywood Poker Open Toledo Regional
After three days of hard-fought poker battle at Hollywood Casino Toledo, in Ohio, the $ 1,115 buy-in Hollywood Poker Open Toledo Regional Main Event has just been concluded with the coronation of Charles Maxcy. A total field of 288 players were in the hunt for the top prize. The field gradually decreased as the poker tournament progressed: 53 were heading to Day 2 while 9 would make it through the final table. Of the 288-player field, 27 have made the money. Any way, it would take about four hours of clash before the bubble burst. Unexpectedly, a number of notable poker players hit the rail with no cash in hands. Include the likes of Nick Pupillo and Michael Hahn. Ditto for Tom Midena who fell to 10th place and wrapped the event up as the final tables bubble boy.
Neil Coughlin finished 9th place; he left the final table for $ 7,488. Freddy Hamad and Wayne Smith fell to 8th and 7th place for a respective gain of $ 9,072 and $ 10,800. The six remaining survivors played it out for half an hour and subsequently settled a deal. Each player was guaranteed to walk away with $ 30,465 of prize, while the rest of the prize pool would be awarded to the 1st-place finisher. Charles Maxcy entered the final table second in chip count. Highly skilled as he is, he emerged victorious from the battle and cashed $ 37,465. The others players, as mentioned above, went home with $ 30,265 each: Ken Foster (2nd), Emad Alabsi (3rd), Joka Boyi (4th), Kenny Zuspan (5th) and Trevor Renner (6th).
