Day 1 sees a total field of 184 players - Hollywood Poker Open Toledo Main Event
Hollywood Casino Toledo (Ohio) has been abuzz since last weekend with the 2015 Hollywood Poker Open Toledo Regional Main Event. More than 180 players have made the trip to Toledo and participated in the poker tournament of $ 1,115 buy-in. 104 players battled it out on Day 1A, only 16 of whom would survive after 14 levels of play. James Wright bagged up Day 1As lead with 255,500 chips, followed by Charles Maxcy and Wayne Smith, with a respective stack of 202,500 and 196,000 chips . Those making it through the next battle include the 2014 HPO Lawrenceburg runner-up Michael Hahn (with 178,000 chips), talented Kim Schinco, Bobby Brown, Chuck Schwanger, John Nelson, Ron Bell, Kenny Zuspan and Raymond Ezzie.
37 players joined the remaining 16-player field the following day. In fact, 80 players teed themselves up on Day 1B. Jeff Greear garnered 327,000 chips after 14 levels of play. He is now leading the whole pack to Day 2. Four other players - Nick Pupillo, Randy Bryer, Freddy Hamad and Bobby Dickerson also amassed more than 200,000 chips when Day 1B battle arose. Interestingly, Day 1B saw a modest panel of notable poker players as part of the field. However, many of them failed to qualify for the next round. Include the likes of the MSPT Season 4 Player Of the Year Patrick Steele, Mike Ross, Adam Lamphere, Shawn Cunix, Rex Clinkscales, Ben Gray, David Eldridge and Aaron Steury.
