Brian Altman clinched victory at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open - WPT
The Florida stop of the World Poker Tour (WPT) has just concluded with the victory of Brian Altman at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open. Interestingly, a total of 1,027 entries were made, generating an enticing prize pool of $ 3 million. The LHPO Main Event was also marked by the presence of a wide panel of notable players, including former WPT winners Noah Schwartz, Jared Jaffee,Nenad Medic, Anthony Zinno, Amir Babakhani, Andy Frankenberger, and Shawn Cunix. After a few days of tough battle, six players would reach the final table of this poker tournament. Atop the chip count, Mark Dube entered the final table with 11,620,000 in chips; he was followed by Brian Altman with 10,330,000. Mark Dube met Brian Altman in the heads-up with a neat 2 to 1 chip advantage. Then Brian Altman would grab back the lead and ultimately win the event. For his victory, Brian Altman cashed $ 723,008 while runner-up Mark Dube consoled himself with $ 434,462 of prize.
Among the finalists, Jon Graham hit the rail first. His sixth-place finish allowed him to earn $ 146,245 though. Five poker hands later, Sanjay Gehi fell to 5th place. He pocketed $ 180,752. And it took more than 50 hands before the unlucky one out of the four remaining players would head to exit. Short stack of the final, Greg Rosen had come a long way to finished 4th place for $ 220,189. Kelly Minkin was out to 3rd place for $ 262,912, leaving Brian Altman and Mark Dube to wrap the battle up.
