Patrick Bruel among the award-winners - France Poker Awards 2014
As scheduled, the France Poker Awards 2014 has been held at O2 Bar-Casino Barrière in Deauville with a great number of French poker enthusiasts attending the ceremony. Note that the European Poker Tour Deauville has also been running in conjunction with this awards presentation. While the Player Of the Year (Erwann Pecheux) and Female Player Of the Year (Allera Florence) nominees were known earlier prior to the ceremony as listed on the current Global Poker Index rankings, the names of award-winners in other categories only get unveiled on Tuesday February 3rd, 2015. This lively evening ceremony has seduced many poker fans, all coming in great number to attend the GPI 2014 France Poker Awards presented by former Maison du Bluff participant, Vanessa Lawrens.
Indeed, the Tournament Performance Of the Year was awarded to Laurent Polito for his World Poker Tour Cannes and Paris wins. Hugo Pingray is named Rookie Of the Year following his victory at the 45th annual World Series of Poker (Las Vegas)-Monster Stack. Patrick Bruel is crowned as the Poker Ambassador Of the Year for his dear involvement in promoting the game of poker in France. The Industry Person Of the Year is awarded to Matthew Duran for his dedication to promoting poker, the Winamax Poker Tour poker tournament included. The Jury Prize goes to the ACF, by way of support provided by the poker community for the employees in this Paris-based gambling club. The jury panel has also decided to grant an additional award to Nosebleed director, Victor "Tapis_Volant" Saumont.
