ElkY and Benjamin Pollak cruise to Day 3 - EPT Deauville Main Event
335 players returned on Tuesday to Casino Barrières poker room to battle it out for the European Poker Tour Deauville title (Day 2). More than half of the field was eliminated after six 75-minute levels of play. The off-the-track panel includes Fabrice Soulier, David Vamplev, Vicky Coren, Lucien Cohen, Steven Moreau, Erwann Pécheux, Ilan Boujenah, Anton Wigg, Jake Cody, Gaëlle Baumann and Damien Lhommeau. Irishman Tikhoniouk Alex is heading to Day 3 on the chip counts driver-seat; he has 312,400 chips, the average stack being 129,000 chips. The Top 5of the chip count is comprised of notable poker players in Europe; alongside 2014 Sixty Max and 2013 Celtic Poker Tour champion Tikhoniouk, the chip leader board includes Kevin McPhee (308,300), Gujan Poker Series winner Adrien Guyon (291,100), Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (281,400) and Benjamin Pollak (275,400).
The list of survivors is getting longer with the presence of Rémi Castaignon, Guillaume Darcourt, Eugene Katchalov, Paul Tedeschi, Jean-Philippe Rohr, Dominik Panka, Dimitar Danchev, Ronan Monfort and Moundir.
