Phil Ivey hit the $ 250,000 Super High Rollers top prize - Aussie Millions 2015
The Aussie Millions Poker Championship $ 250,000 buy-in Super High Roller was a clash of titans. Many are those world famed poker players who have made the trip to Melbourne and participated in the final event of the festival. The 2015 LK Boutique $ 250,000 Challenge actually saw 25 players in the hunt for the top prize, only 5 of whom were in the money. And it was Phil Ivey who bested the 25-player field to win the event. This time, Phil Ivey has come victorious over the likes of Scott Seiver, Mike McDonald, Erik Seidel and Doug Polk... to grab the first-place prize of $ 1,713,285 home ($ 2,205,000 AUD).
Phil Ivey faced Mike McDonald in the heads-up. As a consolation prize, the latter headed to exit with $ 1,237,373. Doug Polk fell to third place for $ 808,857. As for Scott Seiver , he finished 4th place for $ 571,095 while Erik Seidel cashed $ 428,127 for his 5th place finish in this poker tournament. This is the third biggest score Phil Ivey has ever cashed so far (2012, 2014 and 2015). His three largest career earnings actually amount over $ 7.3 million. Surprisingly, the 2015 LK Boutique $ 250,000 Challenge win is his 26th tournament title, a stunning victory that places him 3rd on the "All Time Live Earnings Leadeboard", behind Daniel Negreanu ($ 29,943,008) and Antonio Esfandiari ($ 26,266,687), with a total poker earning of $ 23,199,533. He is well ahead of the 2014 Card Player Player of the Year Dan Colman ($ 22,894,180).
