Alex Antonios leads the pack heading to Day 2 - Aussie Millions 2015 Main Event
The $ 10,600 buy-in Main Event of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2015 actually records a total field of 642 players with its three starting days. Run at the Crown Poker Room in Melbourne, Day 1A seduces 183, Day 1B 173 while Day 1C has 365 entries. In comparison to last years 668-player field, the attendance rate has slightly dropped. Anyway, the race promises to be exciting with a rich panel of world-famed poker players joining the event. Include the likes of Phil Ivey, Dan Smith, Ole Schemion, Igor Kurganov, Scott Seiver, Justin Bonomo, Sam Trickett, Jackie Glazier, Tobias Reinkemeier, Luke Brabin, Doug Polk, Pete Chen, Bryn Kenney and Tyron Krost. However, many of them were unlucky enough to make it through Day 2. Those hitting the rail on Day 1C include Igor Kurganov, Scott Seiver, Bryn Kenney, Tyron Krost and Dough WCGRider Polk.
Battling it out on Tuesday at Crown Casinos poker room were 356 participants, only 150 of them remain in the race after seven 90 minute levels of play. WSOP Asia-Pacific title winner Alex Antonios bags up the lead with 206,200 chips. Jordi Urlings is ranked second in chip count when Day 1C ended. He actually has 147,700 chips; trailing behind are Don Mishra with 143,400 chips, Dylan Honeyman (143,200) and Lighthouse Bouya (106,500). Note that Alex Trevallion, Phil Ivey, Dan Smith, Pete Chen, Luke Brabin and Ole Schemion have also made it through the next phase. Day 2 flight begins at noon on Wednesday with five 90-minute levels.
