Ole Schemion bags the chiplead - Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge
The penultimate day of the 2015 Aussie Millions $ 100,000 Challenge was run on Monday at the Crown Poker Room in Melbourne. Play resumes today with 8 players remain in contention for the title. Ole Schemion is atop the chip count. With an impressive chip advantage (1.888 million chips) over his opponents, the German poker pro is best placed to win this poker tournament. While chip leader Ole Schemion can boasts himself with 1,888,000 chips on his hands, his nearest rival, Jason Mo, is heading to the final with a pretty modest stack of 1,150,000 chips. Of course, this ultimate race promises to be a hard fought final because, apart from Ole Schemionet Jason Mo, the remaining players include high-profile poker players such as Erik Seidel (1,083,000 chips), Justin Bonomo (833,000), Dani Stern (656,000), Richard Yong (554,000), Scott Seiver (545,000) and Alex Trevallion (291,000).
Armed with 1,083,000 chips, Erik Seidel is also among the men to watch in this battle. Note that he has already cashed three times at the Aussie Millions, and this year, he has a great chance to finish in the podium. Speaking of the prize, each of the 8 finalists will earn at least a check of $ 310,000 while the winner will pocket $ 1,870,000. Unlucky enough, 2012 Aussie Millions $ 100,000 Challenge winner Dan Smith failed to reach the final table. He was sent to the rail in 9th place. Ditto for other notables including Phil Ivey, Isaac Haxton, Patrik Antonius, Sorel Mizzi, Paul Newey, Jeff Rossiter, Brian Rast and Bryn Kenney.
