Oliver Gill wins the Event # 3 - Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2015
Crown Casino of Melbourne has been abuzz for seven days now with the Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2015. This seventh day is marked by the victory of Oliver Gill in the $ 2,500 buy-in 8-Game Mixed, the Event # 3 of this poker tournament. Oliver "Capitao" Gill has bested a field of 46 players to grab a championship ring and the $ 38,815 first-place prize. Event #3 kicked on Monday; it has seduced a wide number of Australian mixed game fans. The 46-player field was trimmed to 5 when the first day of play ended: Tony Bloom, Oliver Gill, Sam Khouiss, Mikal Blomlie and Jonas Mackoff.
Aussie Millions 2004 winner, Tony Bloom entered the final table as a chipleader. However, he failed to materialize his second title wish. Indeed, Oliver Gill dominated the heads-up with 657,000 chips against 303,000 for Tony Bloom. Gill managed to maintain the lead to ultimately win this poker event while Bloom fell to second place. He went home with $ 26,395 of consolation prize. Canadian poker pro Jonas Mackoff was the first to leave the final table (No Limit Holden) for $ 9,315 of prize. Mikel Blomlie finished 4th place (Omaha Hi-Lo) and earned $ 11,900. Sam Khouiss failed to stand still in the Pot Limit Omaha; he fell to 3rd place for $ 17,075. As for Tony Bloom, he finished runner-up in the Pot Limit Omaha.
