Morocco will be abuzz from February 26, 2015 - Tanger Poker Festival
In recent years, Morocco has become a must-see destination for European poker enthusiasts, especially those from France. Every year, the country plays host to a series of poker tournaments including the Marrakesh Poker Open, the World Poker Tour and the National Tanger Poker Festival. Speaking of the Tangier Poker Festival (TPF), the event runs its 7th edition this year. As for the city of Tangier, it is a stunning tourist attraction with its breathtaking setting right by the Mediterranean Sea. Tangier is also famed for its casino facilities. As usual, Casino de Tanger will host the Tangier Poker Festival VII from February 26 to March 1st, 2015.
The organizers have made some changes this year, including the Main Event format. The direct entry-fee to the TPF Main Event is set to 7,700 Dirhams (700 ) for a guaranteed prize of 1 million dirhams, nearly 100,000. Players will enter the battle with a starting stack of 50,000 chips over 50-minute level of play. As a reminder, this event has only one re-entry, on Day 1. Listed on the agenda are two satellite tournaments, the participation in which allows participants to win a package of 950, including the 700 Main Event buy-in, four to five night-stay at the Movenpick or Farah Hotel (5 star) and an all-you-can-eat buffet at the Casinos restaurant. Visitors can also participate in side events such as the 2,000 Dhs Freezeout or the 1,500 Dhs Knockout Event.
