Andrew Hinrichsen as chipleader before the Opening Events final day - Aussie Millions
The poker room of Crown Casino in Melbourne (Australia) has been abuzz since last week with the Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2015. The festivity began with the $ 1,150 buy-in No Limit Holdem Opening Event. Interestingly, the event has played four starting days and recorded 1,211 entries. This massive field is actually bringing about $ 1,241,275 of prize pool, $ 215,000 of which is the reward for the winner while the one who would finish 108th ITM place will earn $ 2,500. After six days of battle, only 15 survivors (of the 153-player field on Day2) will return to the Crown Poker Room for the Opening Events Day 3. Of course, there is an opportunity for the lucky ones to win tickets for the 2015 Aussie Millions Poker Championship final table.
With 15 players remaining, evidence is that the first to head to exit will grab a modest sum of money home. Talented poker players including Dean Blatt (105th), Leo Boxell (104th), Nathan Gubieski (95th), Ami Barer (88th), Toothpick Tony (80th), Gary Benson (62nd), Tino Lechich (56th), Jesse McKenzie (51st), Tristan Bain (50th), Scott Davies (35th), Liam O'Rourke (28th), Tom Grigg (23rd) and Peter Aristidou (20th) were eliminated in the money. Atop the chip count heading to Day 3 is Andrew Hinrichsen; he leads the 15 survivors with 1,600,000 chips. He is closely followed by Amer Akkari (1,511,000 chips), Brendon Rubie (1,489,000), Don Mishra (1,002,000), Robert Spano (914,000), George Tang (777,000), Robert Raymond (728,000) Spadavecchia (720,000 ), Reda Mutawakkil (702,000), Derek Wolters (635,000), Jason Pritchard (471,000), Camil Debsia (441,000), Michel Bouskila (439,000), Michael O'Grady (406,000) and Angelo Scicchitano (270,000).
