Online poker revenues increased in December 2014 - New Jersey
New Jersey is one of the three States with legalized online poker market in the United States. In the last three months, internet poker revenues left some rooms for doubt regarding the profitability that the market could generate. Surprisingly, December 2014 has been a great month clothing New Jerseys ipoker industry with great hope. Actually, online poker revenues reported in December have slightly increased compared to the previous month. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) announced on Wednesday that the revenues generated by legit ipoker operators within the State exceeded the $ 2 million mark following three consecutive declining months. December now totals $ 2.06 million in revenues. On year on year basis, these figures fell short of those of December 2013. In fact, the NJDGE reported that December 2013 recorded $ 2.9 million in revenues.
Speaking of the partnership between PartyPoker and Borgata poker room, their joint business sees an 11.3% increase compared to Novembers figures. As for the 888 Poker-WSOP.com partnership, it sees revenues up to 7.79%. Interestingly, PartyPoker and Borgata widened their revenue-based market share in New Jersey from one percent to 54%. Note that New Jersey generated $ 10.7 million in revenue statewide, an increase of 63.6% compared to figures reported in December 2013. Better yet, the $ 10.7 million actually represent over 22% increase in comparison with November 2014s figures. With the freshly-signed poker liquidity sharing agreement between 888 Poker and WSOP.com, online poker revenues in the state of New Jersey is expected to rise up high in 2015.
