Chance Kornuth leads the 6 remaining players in chip count - PCA 2015 Main Event
The Day 5 has just resumed with the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2015 Main Event (PCA) playing its 29-player field down to 6. Indeed, after about 12 hours of play, only 6 players would make it through the ultimate day. USAs Chance Kornuth will enter the final battle as chipleader. With a stunning stack of 7,860,000 chips, the Florida native of 26 is well-positioned to grab the title. It is quite expectable given his impressive achievements over the past six years. As a reminder, he won both the WSOP 2010 and the Bellagio Cup 2014. For this to happen, Chance Kornuth will have to knock his compatriot Kevin Schulz and Rami Boukai out. Note that Schulz is heading to the final with 6,155,000 chips whereas Boukai, with one golden World Series Of Poker bracelet on hands, remains a formidable poker player to watch in this ultimate battle. He is the short-stack (780,000 chips) of the day though. Chips at stake now total 24,480,000.
The other three finalists are Perus Diego Ventura (3,980,000 chips), Germanys Niklas Hambitzer (3,100,000) and Argentines Juan Martin Pastor (2,655,000). As for Pratyush Buddiga, he wrapped Day 5 up with a not-so-bad 7th place finish. The two remaining Frenchies who reached the penultimate day, Emrah Cakmak and Benjamin Pollak, failed to reach the final table. They respectively finished 14th and 11th place in this poker tournament. It is still worth mentioning that a top prize amounting $ 1, 491,580 is waiting for the lucky one. May the best man win!
