24 players remain in the race, Ronaldo finished 26th - PCA 2015 Main Event
The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2015 (PCA) has brought a great surprise. The Day 4 has just resumed with Brazils football legend Ronaldo reaching the Top 30 live poker tournament players. Indeed, Ronaldo has managed to make it through Day 4; however, he failed to qualify for the penultimate day. He finished 26th place for $ 42,180 of prize. As a reminder, Ronaldo was among the 57 players who entered the day. Only 24 of them will return at Atlantis Resort (the Bahamas) for the so-called Semis. After five levels of play, Brazils Mattar Pacelli rallied to jump up on top of the chip count with an impressive stack of 2,673,000 chips. Frances Emrah Cakmak comes second with 2,037,000 chips. USAs Chance Kornuth is also among those possessing over 2 million chips. He will enter the Day 5 battle with 2,026,000 chips while his nearest rival, Swedens Andreas Samuelsson, has over 1.6 million chips.
Canadas Shyam Srinivasan (1,310,000 chips) is listed among the chip counts Top 10 alongside Pratyush Buddiga (1,624,000), Ratharam Sivagnanam (1,341,000), Niklas Hambitzer (1,317,000), Diego Ventura (1,154,000) and Juan Martin Pastor (1,085,000). Ambitious as he is, Shyam Srinivasan is targeting a second-time final-table finish this year after his 6th place win last year. Surprisingly, some notable poker players including Mario Puccini (57th), Alex Venovski (52nd), Ole Schemion (45th), Jonathan Duhamel (42) and Jason Mercier (41st) were sent to the rail. Only Benjamin Pollak has managed to qualify for Day 5; he is ranked among the short stacks with 514,000 chips though. Each of the 24 remaining players is guaranteed to leave with a minimum prize of $ 42,180 while the winner will pocket $ 1,491,580.
