A hard won victory for Mohsin Charania - WPT Five Diamond
The World Poker Tour Five Diamond concluded with the final table of the Main Event which ended after a hard fought won by Mohsin Charania. 586 players have registered for this poker event held at Bellagio casino in Las Vegas, but only six players held until the last day. After six days of play, the victory finally was attributed to Mohsin Charania. Two regular high roller poker player were among the six finalists, but they have been less fortunate as having been eliminated prematurely. This is the case of Tobias Reinkemeier who was eliminated in the 6th place even if he had begun the day with the second biggest stack. The German settled with a gain of $ 272,842. And it is the same for Ryan Fee who left the tournament in the 5th position for $ 218,842.
The short stack at the beginning of the day, Ryan Julius, resisted facing big players of this final table before he gave way face to the hands of Brett Shaffer. He cashed the sum of $ 383,684 for his 4th place. After having eliminated Ryan Julius, the double title holder of the WSOP poker tournament stumbled in his turn face to Garrett Greer. He pocketed $ 562,736 and let Mohsin Charania and Garrett Greer fight for the final heads-up. At the start of the heads-up, Garrett Greer had 14,250,000 chips against 3,325,000 for Mohsin Charania. But he managed to overthrow the duel to his advantage and miraculously win the tournament. Garrett Greer left the table with $ 869,683 while Mohsin Charania pocketed the first prize of $ 1,477,890 and sign for the occasion his second victory on the circuit after his title at the WPT Paris in 2013. Note that he has already won the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo in 2012.
