EPT Prague: Fabio Sperling leads the 22 remaining players in chip count
As agreed, the 61 survivors of Day 3 battle in the Season 11 European Poker Tour Prague Main Event returned Monday (Day 4) in the poker room of Hilton Prague Hotel, at the end of which only 22 players would make it through Day 5. After five levels of play, Germanys Fabio Sperling finishes on top of the chip count; he possesses a total stack of 4,357,000 chips while his nearest rival, the American Stephen Graner, has a million fewer chips compared to his (3,228,000). Some notable players are also entering the Day 5 in a good position including Britains Sam Grafton (2,610,000), Belgiums Davidi Kitai (2,307,000), USAs Vanessa Selbst (2,040,000), Greeces Miltiadis Kyriakides (1,900,000) and Hungarys Andras Nemeth (1,813,000) as well.
Alongside Fabio Sperling, three other German poker players are also heading to Day 5: Bjorn Wiesler (1,504,000), Pascal Pflock (671,000) and Thomas Butzhammer (320,000). France has only one representative to play to Day 5; it is about Remi Castaignon with his 1,385,000 chips. The other players in contention of the title are Tamer Kamel, Anton Bertilsson, Roman Pavliuk, Jakub Slemr, Balazs Botond, Francesco Grieco, Simon Mattsson, Jonathan Wong, Nandor Solyom, Sergey Lebedev and Artem Metalidi. Speaking of the unlucky ones, they are 39 participants, all hitting the rail on Day 4. Listed among them is George Danzer who, for his part, finished 53rd place for 16,970. Danzer was part of Day 4s Top 30 in chip count; he left the room so early as expected. The game resumes on Tuesday at noon (CET) with 22-players field to be trimmed to 6.
