November Nine battle is now underway - WSOP 2014
The final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event called "November Nine" is kicking off this Monday, November 10th. Of the 6,683 players from 87 different countries who participated in the poker tournament last July, only 9 survivors are qualified to battle it out for the title. After more than three months of waiting, the November Nine battle is expected to attract great attention of all poker enthusiasts across the world. The event is scheduled to be played in the poker room of Penn & Teller Theater inside the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas). The nine finalists are guaranteed to take home a minimum gain of $ 730,725 while the one who finishes fourth place will cash $ 2,848,833. On Tuesday, November 11, the three men standing will play it down to a winner. Recall that the WSOP 2014 champion will pocket $ 10 million along with a WSOP winner-stamped golden bracelet "; the runner-up will amass $ 5,145,968 while the third-place finisher will be awarded $ 3,806,402 of prize.
Chip leader of the event is Jorryt van Hoof; he is armed with an impressive stack of 38,375,000 chips. Second in chip count is Felix Stephensen with 32,775,000 chips. Both players are far ahead of the other title contenders since their nearest rivals only have about 20 million of chips in hands: Mark Newhouse (26,000,000), Andoni Larrabe (22, 55 million) and Dan Sindelar (21, 2 million). The last four finalists (Billy Pappas [17,500,000], William Tonking [15,050,000], Martin Jacobson [14, 9 million)] and Bruno Politano [12,125,000]) do not weigh that much in chip count, but their respective experience would be of great asset to win the title.
