Tigran Manukyan win the Inaugural Hollywood Park Main Event - CPPT
The Card Player Poker Tour (CPPT) has just landed in Inglewood, California, for an exceptional stop this year. Known for its horse racetrack, Inglewood is also home to a poker room, the Hollywood Park Casino, one of the most reputable gambling facilities in the area. Indeed, Hollywood Park housed the inaugural CPPT leg named “Card Player Poker Tour Hollywood Park Westside Poker Championship”, the structure of which attracted 354 participants. With this massive field of players, the initial prize pool of $ 100,000 jumped up to $ 103,500. After a few days of battle, Tigran Manukyan bested the 354-player field to notch the win. Richard Soares, Massoud Eskandari, Huy Pham, Daniel Houlbrook, Kerby Hill, Estrella Baltazar, Tigran Manukyan, Jason Kim and John Hulett are the nine survivors reaching the final table of this poker event.
Huy Pham was the first player to leave the final table. He got home with $ 1,555 though. Daniel Houlbrook joined him soon afterwards with $ 2,070 in hands. Estrella Baltazar fell to seventh place for $ 3,105, followed by Jason Kim (6th, $ 4,140) Kerby Hill (5th, $ 6,210), Richard Soares (4th, $ 8,485) and John Hulett (3rd, $ 11,905), allowing Massoud Eskandari and Tigran Manukyan to meet for the ultimate face-to-face. Highly skilled Tigran Manukyan eventually won the event; he earned $ 30,005 whilst runner-up Masoud Eskandari was offered $ 17,080 as a consolation prize. Alongside the top prize of this CPPT / Season II, Maukyan was also awarded a Hollywood Park-carved bracelet to join the likes of fellow champions including Ronnie Pease, Austin Lewis and Jing Shan.
