Isai Scheinberg first-placed the £2,200 buy-in High Roller event - UKIPT Isle of Man
The UK & Ireland Poker Tour is one of the most popular poker circuits in Europe. While the High Roller event reached its ultimate day on Saturday, the Main Event crawled on to its final table on Monday. They were 15 players to compete in the £2,200 buy-in High Roller event, but the $ 22,253 first-placed prize went to IsaiScheinberg. In comparison with the other players who participated in this poker tournament, including European Poker Tour champion Mickey Peterson, Scheinberg has first entered the close circle of top earners with his three final table places and $ 45,000 of career earnings.
Speaking of the Main Event, 8 players of the 402-player field returned to the poker room of Villa Marina on Monday, October 6, 2014. The event seduced a number of famed and notable poker gurus like Jake Cody, Dermot Blain, Christophe De Meulder, Matthew Baker Wei Li and Donald Rae. Unlucky as they were, those five notables were knocked out on the penultimate day. Josef Snejberg bagged up the chip lead of the final table with 1,561,000 chips. Other players were armed with a comfortable stack of over 1 million chips: Josh Hart (1,167,000), Fintan Gavin (1,148,000), Ludovic Geilich (1,063,000) and David Hill (1,029,000) were among them. Marc Radgen (743,000) Ciaran Heaney (589,000) and Thomas Ward (544,000) secured the three remaining seats. The first to head for the door will collect £ 8,000 payout whereas the winner of the Main Event will cash £ 65,900.
