Samuel Okou emerged victorious in the Deepstack Open Gujan-Mestras
The sixth stage of the Deepstack Open /Season V ended with the victory of Samuel Okou. The main event of this DSO Gujan Mestras recorded 348 entries. DSOs stop at Gujan Mestras was a highly anticipated poker event by Aquitaine based players. It also won a great attention of poker lovers from France. Last year, Yassir Erragh had bested the DSO Gujan-Mestras393-player field. This year, chance smiles at Samuel Okou. For his win, the 550 buy-in poker tournament awarded Samuel Okou 30,540 of prize. Roman Lewis fell to second place after tough heads-up against Okou. Despite all this, he cashed 20,500 as a consolation prize. Known on online poker platforms as "Fold4win", Okou claimed his very first live tournament win at Gujan-Mestras.
Note that the final table saw no notable names as Erwann Pecheux, Steven Moreau, Quentin Lecomte, Aubin Cazals, Brian Benhamou and Ronan Monfort
were prematurely eliminated. DSO Lloretdel Mar winner « Saber Harrazi », was the only poker star who made it through the final. Stéphane Scherrer finished third place for a gain of 15,000, followed by Saber Harrazi in the 4th position for 11,900, then Jean Bouveret in 5th for 9,600, Jonathan Sin (6th, 7,700), Eric Magnett (7th, 6400 ), Laurent Didier (8th, 5,400), Jerome Lopez (9th, 4,500) and Benjamin Perrot completed the Top 10 for 3,800. Next up for the DSO is the stop at Gruissan, from November 7 to 11.
