A home win for Tom Kitt - Winamax Poker Open Dublin
The Winamax Poker Open Dublin has recently concluded with a local player hitting the top prize. Indeed, the edition 2014 of this poker tournament was won by the Irishman Tom Kitt. The Regency Hotel of Dublin excitingly vibrated under the rhythms of four-day long WPO event. The Winamax Poker Open Dublin seduced 994 players, bringing the prize pool up to 485,569. Tom Kitts win is considered as a great feat given the fact that he entered the final table as the shortest stack. France has the most numerous representatives in this tournament, but the title chose another player of different nationality. However, three French players reached the WPO Dublin Top 5: Venant Alexis (2nd, 51,000), Pierre Tassin (3rd, 37,000) and Adrien (4th, 28,569). As a reminder, the 2013 WPO Dublin attracted a record-breaking field of 1,087 entries.
Venant Alexis was the best-placed player to grab the 2014 WPO Dublin title. He had the double of Kitts stack. But the game took a totally different turn at the end of the face-to-face. Frances Alexis almost won the chips while the Irishman appeared to be lucky enough to cruise into the win.Tom Kitt had always the best hands when big pots were played. As a first-place prize, Tom Kitt collected 75,000. Four years after the victory of Alan Trueick, Ireland claims the title home. Remember, Trueick emerged victorious in the inaugural edition of the WPO Dublin held in the poker room of Regency Hotel.
