ElkY dropped out of the GPI Top 100 - Global Poker Index
As usual, the Global Poker Index (GPI) provides a weekly updated list of its Top 300 tournament poker players in the world. That of September 22 sees American Dan Smith atop the rankings for the sixth consecutive week. OleSchemion, Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier and Scott Seiver complete the Top 5. Alex Bilokur, the one who won the 45th annual World Series of Poker - $ 10,000 Pot Limit Hold'Em, is among the top 10 players in live poker tournament. He jumped up three spots to secure 9th place. Several players move up fairly high this week. This is the case of Daniel Weinman who recently hit the top prize of the WPT Borgata Open- $ 10,000 Super High Roller. Blake Bohn, Anatoly Filatov, Ray Qartomy, Zohair Karim, Justin Zaki, John Racener, Sam Trickett, Sean Winter, Shyam Srinivasan, Steve Watts, Guy Goossens and Farid Jattin are also among them. Bahbak Oboodi is crowned the biggest mover of the week with 154 spots won to rank 259th place.
Other players like Victor Sbrissa, Matt Affleck, Brandon Shane, Tom Dobrilovic, Vladimir Schemelev and Ondrej Vinklarek manage to cruise into the Top 300 rankings this week. The September-22-list is also marked by the former GPI No. 1 Bertrand "ElkY "Grospellier who, for the first time in his career, dropped out of the GPI Top 100 to finish 122nd place (-48). Those who found themselves plummeted with more than 30-spot drop are Antonio Lafosse, Marko Neumann, Tyler Patterson, Johnny Lodden, Jesse Yaginuma, James Calderaro, Miroslav Halilovic, Santiago Nadal, Paul Tedeschi, Dan Heimiller and David Paredes.
