Julien Montois took home 31,100 - BPT Lille 2013/2014
The edition 2013-2014 of the Barrière Poker Tour (BPT) concluded in Lille with Julien Montois claiming the first-place prize. This poker tournament started in November 2013 with a stop at the Casino Barriere of Enghien-les-Bains. Indeed, its curtains fell last weekend at the Casino Barrière of Lille. In terms of attendance, the BPT Lille attracted few crowds (317) compared to the field registered at BPT Toulouse in June (404). As a reminder, Merabet Hilal won the BPT Toulouse for 36,000. And this last stage of the Barrière Poker Tour saw Julien Montois bested a field of 317 participants (258 players and 59 re-entries) to claim the title. It is still worth noting that nine players made it through to the final table.
After hours of battle in the poker room of Casino Barrière Lille, Julien Montois eventually routed Cem Eryjit in the heads-up, a victory that allowed him to pocket 31,100. The runner-up, for his part, earned 19,150 as a consolation prize. Simon Thierriez fell to the third place for 13,100, followed by Amine Laziri (4th, 9,050), Tony Rizzo (5th, 7035), Fehmi Cherif (6th, 5,810), Gildas Beaumont (7th, 4800), Charles Le Regent (8th, 4,040) and Timothy Marlin (9th, 3,500). As for Jean Montury, he emerged victorious in the Masters 1000 event by beating Jean-Pierre Didier and Claude Metais. He collected a prize amounted at 12,960. Admittedly, the Barrieère Poker Tour has wrapped the 2013/2014 edition up with success. Optimistic as the organizers are, they announce that the tour is launching the new season of the BPT, kicking-off on October 30 in Enghien-les-Bains.
