Germanys Ali Yildirim wins the Main Event - Deutsche Poker Tour
King's Casino vibrated under the rhythm of the Deutsche Poker Tour (TPD) last weekend. 485 players had moved to Rozvadov, Czech Republic, to participate in this poker festival. Two events were held throughout the weekend, the 195 Main Event and the 75 NLH Freezeout. In this new edition of the DPT, the Main Event attracted the greatest attention from players. 404 players were registered on the first starting day of the event, and 126 others joined them afterwards thanks to the re-entry formula, bringing the final field to 530. This massive field actually generated a prize pool of 100,000. After two days of play in the biggest European poker room, Germanys Ali Yildirim claimed the Deutsche Poker Tour title after a stunning win over compatriot Franz Haid in the heads-up. Following their deal, the winner took home a prize of 21,000 while runner-up Yildirim cashed 17,006. Initially, the 1st and 2nd place were respectively scheduled to collect 23,474 and 15,132. Germanys LEO ( 9,894), Czechs Marek Hanzlík ( 6,305) and Jan Zavoral ( 4,365) completed the Top 5 ITM places.
As for the Side Event No Limit Holdem Freezeout, it recorded 101 entries, 20 re-entries included. The prize pool of 6,442 was split between the top 10 players of this poker tournament. The Top 5 was dominated by four German poker players, namely Heinz Neumann (1st, 1,959), Selim Avdiu (2nd, 1188), Hans Monius (3rd, 803 ) and Michael Horn (5 482 ). Czech Jan Halámek finished fourth place for 610.
