Blake Bohn to claim the first-place prize - Mid-States Poker Tour Grand Falls Casino
Last week, Sioux Falls Grand Falls Casino, a gambling establishment located in South Dakota, hosted the 49th stage of the Mid-States Poker Tour. The $ 1,100 Main Event attracted 201 entries, creating a prize pool of $ 201,000. And after three days of competition, Blake Bohn bested the remaining 10-player field of the tournament to win the MSPT Grand Falls Main Event. The final heads-up saw, as a reminder, Blake Bohn and Jeff Bryan. This victory enabled this Minnesota native to cash $ 54,607, bringing his career earnings totaled over $ 1.4 million. For his part, Jeff Bryan left the final table with $ 32,170 of prize for his second place in the poker tournament.
Frank Martin was the first of the 10 finalists to leave the table. Eliminated by Bohn, Franks 10th place still allowed him to pocket a check of $ 2,534. After Frank Martin, Blake Bohn knocked out Steve Pint (8th, $ 5,849), Max Bergquist (9th, $ 3,899), Phil Mader (7th, $ 7,798) and Herb Laney (6th, $ 9,748). After crushing Marty Rahbusch in the 5th place for $ 11,698, Jason Robertson, for his part, headed for the casino exit with $ 15,012 (4th place). Then Bohn wiped Steve Belland out to 3rd place ($ 18,522), the result of which would pave Bohns way to secure a comfortable chip lead over Nebraska native Jeff Bryan in heads-up. After Grand Falls Casino, Season 5 of the MSPT poker event is running from August 22 to 24 with a stop at the Tropicana Evansville, in Indiana.
