Karakolev enters Cyprus Live Events International Main Event Day 2 as chipleader - Cyprus Poker Open
Since last week, numerous were the European poker players who have moved to Cyprus to join the last poker festival held at Noah's Ark Hotel & Casino Resort. Actually the $ 1,500 Cyprus Poker Open Main Event has attracted 285 entries. After the 172 participants on Day 1A, Day 1B, for its part, garnered 113 entries. To enable prematurely eliminated players to get back to the game, they were given great opportunity to retry their luck thanks to the re-entry formula. Those prematurely eliminated players include Dmitry Varlamov, Aleksandr Pak and Vladimir Troyanovskiy. And after nine 45-minute levels of play on Day 1B, only 55 players won their tickets for Day 2 and join the 81 survivors of Day 1A. Anyway, players still have the chance to reenter in the first four levels on Day 2.
The second day of the Cyprus Poker Open Main Event will be held on Monday August 11th in the poker room of Noah's Ark Hotel with the 136 survivors on Day 1. Once again, Day 1B chip leader Nedelcho Karakolev will begin Day 2 in the driver seat in terms of chip count. He has an impressive stack of 184,200 chips. He beat the 171,500 chips of the Day 1A chip leader Viacheslav Igin. The Ukrainian poker pro Oleksii Khoroshenin, the reigning champion of the European Poker Tour Vienna_ finishes third in chip count with 167,400 chips behind Viacheslav Igin (171,500). Players who will fall into the ITM will share out the prize pool of $ 374,517.
