Valeriu Coca won the Russian Poker Tours Main Event - Cyprus Poker Open
The Cyprus Poker Open has just kicked off in style with Valeriu Coca winning the Russian Poker Tours Main Event. Many European players traveled to Noah's Ark Hotel & Casino Resort to participate in the first major event of this Cypriot poker festival. For a buy-in of $ 550, the RPT Main Event attracted 356 players, generating a prize pool of $ 172,660. Valeriu Coca emerged victorious by outlasting the 26 survivors of Day 2. Actually 27 were qualified for the Russian Poker Tour final. And after a few hours of play, Valeriu Coca won the tournament by crushing Shkliar Yaroslav in the Heads- up clash. Coca hit the top prize of $ 41,300 while Yaroslav Shkliar earned $ 29,350 for his second place.
Gukov Aleksandr was the first to fall in the ITM. Despite all this, his 27th place allowed him to leave the poker tournament with a gain of $ 1,070. The other eliminated players include Abbas Moradi, Stoma Denis, Klimenko Kirill, Koshal Ihar, Kostylev Alexander, Mojaveruan Omid, Carinthian Lion and Doroshev Heorhii. After the Russian Poker Tour Main Event, poker enthusiasts are impatiently awaiting the Cyprus Poker Opens Live Main Event which will be run over four days. Taking part in this event will require $ 1,500 of entrance-fee. Hostilities are beginning this coming Saturday (Day 1A), August 9. The other major event of the Cyprus Poker Open is the Lebanese Poker Cup High Roller event. For its part, the event is accessible for $ 3,300 of buy-in.
