Brian Zimcosky won the stage of Majestic Star Casino - Mid-States Poker Tour 2014
Brian Zimcosky won the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) after overcoming a field of 228 players at Majestic Star Casino in Gary. During the last stopover of the MSPT in Gary in March, Zimcosky finished third in the Main Event for a prize of $ 28,141. And this summer, the native of Michigan won a second victory in live poker tournament after that of 2010 in Verona, during the Empire State Hold'Em Championships. He collected $ 24,731 by winning the $ 550 No Limit Hold'em. During the second call of the MSPT at Majestic Star Casino, Brian Zimcosky affords the biggest cash of his career, $ 61,870, by winning the Main Event. Bryan Schultz left the tournament in the 9th place, followed shortly after by Mike Mustafa.
Both players pocketed respectively $ 4,419 and $ 6,629. Brad Rhodes was the first player eliminated from the final table with 10 players for $ 2,873. The future winner of this poker event was eliminated in the wake by William Luciano (7th, $ 8,839), Paul Fisher (6th, $ 11,048), Gerald Siemienas (5th, $ 13,528) and Bob Chow (4th, $ 17,017). After the Majestic Star Casino step, the tour will continue with a step at Grand Falls Casino from August 15 to 17.
