A not-to-be-missed poker event in UK this week - GUKPT Reading
The city of Reading, United Kingdom runs this week the seventh stage of the 2014 season Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT). The festival is to be held from July 30 to August 3 and will offer 6 poker events including the Main Event of £ 550 buy-in. In 2013, the GUKPT Main Event Reading seduced a field of 165 players. James Martin beat Jeff Kimber and Eliie Biessek and earned a prize of £ 22,640. This time, the 5 days of competition at Readings Grosvenor Casino poker room will begin with a satellite tournament of £ 110 buy-in, by qualifying in which will allow players to secure some seats in the Main Event. The Main Event is scheduled from July 31 to August 3. And those who fall in the three satellite events can try their luck at qualifying for the Main Event by paying £ 550 of re-entry fee.
The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Reading is to conclude with the No-Limit Hold'em Six-Max tournament (re-entry allowed) for a buy-in of £ 110. Meanwhile, players can participate in other side events such as: £ 165 NLH (Re-entry), £ 110 NLH Bounty (£ 50 bounty) and the £ 82 Pot Limit Omaha (Re-entry). After Reading, the GUKPT will make a stop in Leeds (September 3 to 7), Luton (October 12 to 19) and at Blackpool (November 9 to 16) before the holing of the Grand Final Grosvenor Victoria Casino (London) from November 23 to 30. GUKPT Grand Final does stand out by its buy-in of £ 2,000.
