Massimo Nicola Pellegrino won the Main event of Saint Vincent - Italian Poker Tour
It took 5 hours of play to know the winner of the 1,100 Main Event of the Italian Poker Tour Saint Vincent. Indeed, the final table of this poker event was running fast. Massimo Nicola Pellegrino toppled a field of 363 players after a tough battle in the eight-man final table. He crushed Gianni Paolo Bussolino in the heads-up to claim the IPT title. Pellegrino pocketed 65,000 for his this win while the runner-up Bussolino earned a much deserved prize of 48,000. Dario Nittolo also pocketed 48,000 for his 3rd place. Earnings were distributed as such after a deal reached between the three players. Actually the distribution of prizes for the first three places in the Main Event should be as follows: 80.000 (1st place) 50,000 (2nd place) and 31,000 (3rd).
Other finalists include Federico Piroddi, Francesco Cordua, Massimiliano Forti, Marcello Re and Thomas Valand. This time Federico Piroddi was at his third IPT final table in less than a year, but his clash against Dario Nittolo had seen him finish fourth place in this poker tournament for 24,000. Earlier in the day, Bussolino ousted Francesco Cordua in 5th place for 19,000 while Pellegrino knocked Massimiliano Forti out in the 6th position ( 15,000). Marcello Re dropped to 7th place for 10,660. As for Valand Thomas, he was the first one to head for the final tables exit. Unfortunately, his eighth place allowed him to get home with a prize of 8,300.
