Netherlands and Costa Rica qualified for the quarterfinals - World Cup 2014
After Brazil and Colombia, itÂ’s the Netherlands and Costa Rica which were qualified for the quarterfinals of the World Cup 2014 at the end of the second day of the round of 16. To the delight of fans and amateur of sports betting, the Oranje won their ticket to the quarterfinals at the expense of Mexico (2-1). Mexicans fail a bit after having lead throughout the match. The second match of the evening which opposed Costa Rica and Greece had turned in favor of the South Americans. On paper, Costa Rica had the best odds in online betting but Greece knew how to recover after a failure during the beginning of the match. Bryan Ruiz opened the scoring for Costa Rica (52). Greece equalized during the additional time (90 +1) with Socratis Papastathopoulos. The two teams were not been able to decide which one will continue for the next stage during the overtime. Costa Rica was qualified for the quarterfinals when Keilor Navas stopped the shooting of Theofanis Gekas during the shoot on goal.
